It's time to talk about Season One's Loot Pool.
As the very first season of the game, the loot pool has been fairly basic this season. While the weapons and items available will be shaken up in future seasons, this season has had some notable features.
THREE SERIES OF WEAPONS
This season had three separate Assault Rifles, Submachine Guns and Sniper Rifles. For players who just like consistent weapons, the original Assault Rifle, Submachine Gun and Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle have been the go-to. These three have been consistently the most popular weapons of their types throughout the season, often paired with the Pump Shotgun and heals.
Some players may shake up their playstyle with the Burst Assault Rifle and Tactical Submachine Gun. These weapons are similar to their original counterparts but have different features - the Burst AR notably fires in burst shots, and the Tactical SMG is better at long-range distances at the cost of slower fire rate.
For those casual campers who like to hide in bushes, the sneaky silenced weapons are the go-to. The Suppressed AR, SMG and Pistol are all much quieter than their standard counterparts, at the cost of being slightly weaker.
BURN, BABY, BURN!
The mid-season update for Season One introduced fire-starting weapons for the first time. These are huge as they can easily burn down structures and damage other players.
The Firefly Jar and Flare Gun are perfect for setting boxes alight and forcing opponents to leave their hiding spots and enter the fight. A lot of players have been grabbing the Firefly Jars found around the map and using them to force these fights, and it's proved to be a popular strategy.
That's all for this time. Next season will bring some exciting new weapons and items that really shake up the gameplay dynamic. See you on the Battle Bus!
